I work at the intersection of digital humanities, structured data, digital text processing and information governance.
My background is in digital editions and the modeling of complex information systems. More recently, my focus has expanded toward information security, risk management and the procedural dimensions of protecting, organizing and preserving information — especially in public-sector environments.
I am currently building expertise around ISO/IEC 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, risk management and information security management practices.
My long-standing research interests include historical lexicography, cultural and intellectual history, and German-Jewish scholarship, with particular attention to the work and reception of Daniel Sanders.
I also enjoy working on open source projects and data. Some repositories are active tools, others are experiments, prototypes or archival traces of earlier work. Because open source work often happens alongside other commitments, not every project is continuously maintained.
