I've been building for the web since the 90s, back when a personal site meant hand-written HTML and a lot of trial and error, and about twenty years ago I was designing GTK 2.0 themes for fun and sharing them on the Ubuntu Forums under the name Saint Angeles. I grew up taking things apart to see how they worked, and somewhere along the way I learned to enjoy putting them back together too.
That instinct followed me into IT. By day I'm a field tech at an MSP, handling networking, sysadmin work, and endpoint support, with over six years of full-stack development behind me. At home I run a Proxmox-based homelab with Home Assistant, OpenWrt, and whatever I'm currently pulling apart. There's something satisfying about diagnosing a broken system and walking away with it running clean.
Most software today is bloated, packed with tracking, and stuffed with dependencies nobody asked for. I don't think you should need an account to use a tool.
