Digital Product Passports for fashion brands — connect your article data, estimate product footprints,
and publish EU-compliant passport experiences your customers actually want to explore.
avelero.com · Live passport demo
The EU's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) makes product-level environmental disclosure mandatory for textiles, delivered through the Digital Product Passport. Avelero takes a brand from raw article data to published, on-brand passport pages in days, not months — including per-product carbon and water footprints, decomposed by lifecycle phase.
| Repository | What it is |
|---|---|
| avelero | The DPP platform — brand dashboard, passport designer, public passport pages, Shopify sync, and API |
| ESPResso-V2 | Carbon and water footprint models — LLM-orchestrated synthetic LCA data pipeline and tier-aware neural networks |
| espresso-service-v2 | Production inference API serving the V2 models, with LLM normalization of free-form brand inputs |
| ESPResso-V1 | First-generation footprint estimation — deterministic ISO 14040 LCA engine with ML imputation |
| ESPResso-service-V1 | Integration architecture for the V1 models |
| Avelero_HydroCarbon | Early lightweight footprint models — the ESPResso predecessor |
ESPResso is our research line on regulation-aligned footprint estimation at catalogue scale, grounded in ISO 14040/14044 and the PEFCR for Apparel and Footwear v3.1. The current iteration pairs an LLM-orchestrated synthetic data pipeline with tier-aware neural models that estimate cradle-to-gate carbon and water footprints from whatever level of supply-chain transparency a brand can provide. A paper by Moussa Ouallaf and Raf Mevis is in preparation (preprint, 2026).
All datasets are public on Kaggle:
- ESPResso V2 — carbon and water training data
- ESPResso V2 — synthetic pipeline outputs
- ESPResso V2 — sustainability reference tables
- ESPResso V1 — textile carbon footprint dataset
