I think this is fundamentally wrong. The records should not be deleted after 10 seconds, because they should never be inserted to the DB in first place.. they should only live in memory for 10 seconds and be removed afterwards.

I think you are on to something. We should probably wrap every request in a transaction (I heard you love those @arthurnn) and roll it back after the response has been flushed.
