I've used https://github.com/sferik/twitter for reading data--seems like it should be pretty straight forward to use it for posting data. I'm thinking it would be nice to read a flat file for the tweet content or possibly say pick a random tweet from a yaml file containing 5 or whatever. Interpolating a count down to the meetup could be a fun feature too, but whatever makes sense here is awesome.
