Bug in 1.16 firmware : radio.fem.rxgain not working

The option radio.fem.rxgain could normally be used to enable or disable the LNA on the Heltec V4 version 4.3.

For some odd reason people decided it wasa good idea to disable the LNA as a default in MeshCore firmware 1.16.

I don't know why, but I don't want it to be disabled, and I guess I'm probably not the only one.

However, there's a bug currently preventing me to enable the LNA from the CLI.

When trying to use radio.fem.rxgain, it returns the value of the radio settings, which prevent me to turn on the LNA.

It turns out that the bug was already in 1.15 as well, but since the LNA was already enabled, I hadn't noticed.

Even "foobar" is accepted as part of the instruction.

Not so convenient 😉

The PR for that CLI has not been merged yet in MeshCore.

It is available in PowerSaving 15 and 16 pre-release.

Then the behavior is even more strange. 🤔

When using a command, which is non-existent, it should have given "Unknown command" or an error.

In this case, it doesn't show an error but the radio settings. Even when "foobar" is added, of which I am sure is not a valid command 😉

Also, it is strange to just disable the LNA as a default for Heltec V4 version 4.3, without giving the users an option to turn it back on.

I don't know why people decided it was a good idea to disable the LNA as a default in the first place, since they don't know where the unit will be used and/or the unit has Band Pass Filters installed on the unit itself.

If they change the default, than that's fine, but then the option "radio.fem.rxgain" should have been available as well, for those who need the LNA to be enabled.

Disabling hardware in a unit as a default, without providing the option to manually turn that specific hardware back on is weird practice.

Yes, it is a bug. It gets the response from CLI get radio when get radio xyz is keyed in.
I agree users should have options to enable fem or not.
