2025 release

Collecting a few tasks that need to be done before releasing the 2025 version:

- [ ] confirm authors
- [ ] update acknowledgements
- [ ] create cff
- [ ] create zenodo
- [ ] tag 2023 and 2024 as releases
- [ ] set up gh actions for loading build artifact
- [ ] update credits page with doi etc
- [ ] update readme with contributing info and other new info
- [ ] move to other repo
